This project began in 2012 with the aim of extolling the virtues of the red wines made from the Tempranillo grapes in the Pagos del Rey wineries in the main wine regions of northern Spain,\u00a0united in a single wine, distinct and unique.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The assemblage tasting of this 5th edition of \u201cLa \u00danica\u201d was held at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pagosdelreymuseodelvino.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pagos del Rey Wine Museum<\/a> to coincide with the celebration of its 10th Anniversary. The event was attended by a team of 30 professionals from the world of wine, both national and international, including <strong>Philippa Carr<\/strong>\u00a0(Master of Wine),<strong>\u00a0David Schwarzw\u00e4lder<\/strong>\u00a0(sommelier trainer and great connoisseur of Spanish wine) and the oenologists\u00a0<strong>Antonio Tom\u00e1s Palacios<\/strong>\u00a0and<strong>\u00a0Bego\u00f1a Jovellar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/felixsolisavantis.com\/en\/wine-culture\/tempranillo-the-grape-for-1000-wines\/\">Tempranillo grape<\/a>\u00a0variety from each of the wine-growing areas is once again the star of this year\u2019s edition. With the premise that no two vintages are the same, the Pagos del Rey oenologists have selected the best wines from each region to create an exceptional wine in a single blend.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge during the tasting process has been to find the balance and nuances of each of the wines, to discover their potential, to blend them and to find a\u00a0coupage\u00a0blend that brings out the best of each region.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This initiative arose in 2012 to unite two concepts: Wine and Art and pays tribute to the Tempranillo grape.
